Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator
The Patient Care Coordinator works to create a favorable impression with patients and guests and ensures that a high level of quality customer service is delivered.
Responsibilities:

Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention

Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Maintain accurate patient medical records

Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

The Patient Care Coordinator may also be responsible for handling all front desk duties for the clinic. This individual greets, schedules, checks patients in/out, answers the telephone, and routes calls appropriately. The Patient Care Coordinator works to create a favorable impression with patients and guests and ensures that a high level of quality customer service is delivered.

Obtains necessary financial, personal and/or medical updates. Enters all information accurately into the patients’ chart

Ensures that HIPAA guidelines are followed

Understands insurance benefits to effectively communicate to the patient
Qualifications:

Bilingual preferred.

Minimum of one year of previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
-
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
-
Ability to build rapport with patients
-
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
-
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
